Focuses on the upliftment of tribal and dalit community, women empowerment and children through various projects. Panlot Training Organisation (P Read moreTO) - organizes training of women self help group and users group on watershed development process and their role in this process. Work on “Gaokor” Issue : as per their custom, women during their menstrual period stays in a hut on the boundary of the village under unhygienic conditions. To prevent the human right violation of women of Madiya and Gond tribals, Sparsh made a complaint to National Human Rights Commission and are constantly pursuing this matter at the level of NHRC, state and district Administration. Initiative with ‘Goonj’ is in projects like Cloth for Work (C.F.W), Not just a piece of cloth (N.J.P.C), School 2 School (S2S) and Rahat.


Issue

Minority tribes and poor people live under unhealthy and unhygienic conditions. This is especially true for women and children from tribal communities.


Action

The society operates multiple initiatives to fight age old and illogical traditions and bring relief to tribal women, provide low cost sanitary napkins to women, acts as a guardian in case of reports of violence or abuse against women and children, imparts training of maintaining kitchen gardens and also works to create awareness on adolescent health.
