Parinaam emphasises on economic empowerment as well as social development issues such as health, nutrition and education. Through its social entre Read morepreneurship program, it promotes self-help groups, works to establish links with financial institutions, offers and promotes skill development programs, and establishes and supports micro enterprises for women and youth employment. Through its Sewing Microenterprise program for women, Weaver’s society, Mushroom Farming Training program, and Health Workers Training, it teaches soft skills, financial literacy, leadership skills, and training. Through its brand, Akriti, it encourages the work of artisans of various traditional skills from villages and small towns who work from their homes. This increases income for artisans and their families, helps stabilize rural communities economically, and ensures that the cultural heritage will be kept alive. Parinaama works to provide disabled people with economic opportunities by raising awareness, providing education, and developing skills. It also provides support to partner organisations that work with disabled people. It has initiated computer literacy and education programs for underprivileged youth, especially young women. To promote health, the organisation works with communities to provide information through preventive and curative programs on maternal health, child health and public health concerns such as malaria, diarrhoea, kala-azar, and others. One of its key programs allows community members to volunteer and establish rural franchises to promote essential health products, leading to better community health and earning opportunities. Additionally, it uses existing self-help groups to encourage healthy practices. Parinaama works to improve nutrition in communities by promoting sustainable vegetable gardens. It also provides training workshops, makes seeds available, and promotes gardening as a routine community activity.
