Overview |
Max India Foundation organises immunization camps, health and cancer screening camps and imparts health awareness by setting up health centers across India. It also conducts Artificial Limbs and Polio Callipers camps along with facilitating surgeries and treatments. Additionally, it has assisted over 3.2 million people in 814 locations from the underserved communities across the country in partnership with more than 452 NGOs. Further, the Foundation has adopted village clusters in Uttarakhand and Punjab for intervention on the issue related to sanitation and waste management. |

Surgeries and Treatments
The Foundation has facilitated 8500 surgeries till June 2018 ranging from neurosurgery, paediatric care, cardiology, supported treatment for cancer, orthopaedic treatment, reconstructive surgery, cataract and brain tumour surgeries. Pan India Immunization
The Pan India Immunisation Program provides free of cost immunisation to the underprivileged children and protects them from several life threatening diseases. The camps comprise of vaccination shots along with check ups for delays in the developmental milestones. Additionally, children and parents are educated about the importance of vaccines for prevention of diseases. The program has successfully protected 163285 children till August 2018 with immunisation of DPT, Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Typhoid. Additionally, it has started vaccination against strains 6, 11, 16 and 18 of Human Pappiloma Virus infection from March 2018. This provides protection for the girls between 9-14 years from cervical cancer. Health Camps
With an aim to address the challenges faced by the underprivileged communities to access primary healthcare, the Foundation organises free multi-specialty health camps across geographies which include thorough check up by a doctor, distribution of free medicines along with specialised tests which include blood pressure, blood sugar and haemoglobin(Hb) monitoring. Health Awareness
Max India Foundation provides health education to underprivileged who have limited information. The focus areas include health, hygiene, hand washing, menstrual hygiene, oral hygiene, nutrition, dengue, breastfeeding, anemia, tobacco sensitization, immunisation and cancer awareness. This awareness is imparted through tools like talks, films, puppet shows, flip books and interactive sessions. Village Adoption Programme
With the aim to enhance its intervention in the rural areas of Dehradun, The Foundaion has adopted two village clusters Dhakrani and Chandrothi Gram Sabha in 2015. The priority areas for intervention in the villages are health, sanitation and hygiene. Environment and Waste Management
The Foundation provides for clean drinking water, toilet facilities and ways to properly dispose solid waste as a part of its Village Adoption Programme. Muti-Speciality Health Camps
The Foundation provides healthcare services for the underprivileged to meet their immediate health care needs in rural areas and slums through multi-speciality health camps with doctors from Max Healthcare. These health camps include oral, gynaecological, paediatric, ophthalmology, surgical services and cancer screening camps. Anti Tobacco Campaign
The Foundation is partnership with Delhi Police and Sambandh Health Foundation is running a campaign against tobacco. The campaign seeks to remedy this situation in Delhi to ensure the The Cigarettes & Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 (COTPA) law and make Delhi into a healthier capital. Artificial Limb and Polio Calliper Camps
The Artificial Limb and Polio Calliper Camps is an annual feature by Max India Foundation where free limbs are provided to the disabled. The camps are organised in different locations of the country in association with Manav Seva Sannidhi supported by Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, the NGO that provides Jaipur foot for the disabled. |
