Michael and Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF) works with the aim of impacting the lives of children from financially weak backgrounds in urban areas through a focus on quality education and economic stability in the family.

Works in collaboration with NGOs, social enterprises, governments, implementation experts, and other community organizations for executing and implementing projects for the educational and economic development of individuals living in urban poverty.

Committed nearly INR 15 billion towards their cause and claims to have served more than 12 million children and families through 126 active projects and programs funded across India.

Quality Schools

Focuses on underserved students to improve their school results and increasing their access to a high-quality education.

Invests in the projects to improve student learning, teacher skills, school operations, and education leadership. Focuses on data assessment, the transformation of school systems, and education innovation. Aims to change the school education system at a grass root level by supporting various school transformation projects, to improve learning outcomes, leadership, teacher capabilities, and processes in schools.

The aim of the education innovation program is to enhance the employability of school students through teacher training tools focused on building proficiency in children. Projects are running in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan.


Classroom Support

Helps teachers and school leaders use data to improve learning and understand the performance of students. Supports service providers to create new classroom tools to boost the learning experience of the students.


University Success Program

Provides support system to the students from low-income homes to graduate and complete their degrees.


Jobs and Livelihood

Provides training in vocational skills to youth from low-income backgrounds and helps them with loans, training certificates, and career counseling. Aims to provide urban youth with access to entrepreneurship and employment opportunities so that they increase their earning potential and job opportunities.


Financial Services

Develops and delivers a range of credit and savings options such as micro-savings, micro-mortgages, and loans for businesses of different sizes for low-income households.

Creates ways for low-income families to access banking services to make them learn to manage their money in a better way.
