Major Activities

Major tasks and accomplishments (as reported by the NGO):
To rejuvenate green cover and biodiversity in semi-arid tracts, CGR has facilitated planting 3.2 million saplings in the last six years by involving 9, 23,115 school children in two south Indian states of Telangana and AP. The other initiatives of the organization include Development of Green village, Nature-Culture, Memorial groves, My Duty for Green City, Conservation of Eastern Ghats, Earth leaders etc.,CGR has promoted the concept of observing _Vrikshabandhan��_ on the day of _Rakshabandhan��_ (festival of India where the sisters tie a bond to brothers) celebrating _Birthday��_ to the planted saplings. These innovative approaches, methodology and motivation by CGR have resulted into the optimal survival of planted saplings (around 60 per cent). The CGR��_s massive plantation case study was introduced in 5th Class Sciences text book (We-Our Environment, P.33) of AP State School Education, India in 2012.
