The Kerala State Handicapped Persons Welfare Corporation, a Government entity, was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram. Its pri Read moremary mission is to create, promote, and execute welfare initiatives for the visually impaired, deaf and mute, orthopedically challenged, and mentally disabled individuals. Additionally, it offers financial and technical support to both individuals with disabilities and organisations engaged in rehabilitation and welfare activities for this demographic. Over time, the Corporation has delivered various forms of assistance to differently-abled individuals in Kerala. The Corporation maintains two regional offices in Fort Kochi, Ernakulam, and Kozhikode. To ensure that physically challenged individuals receive standardized and high-quality aids and appliances and have access to proper repair and servicing, a Manufacturing, Repairing, Servicing, and Training Centre (MRST unit) operates under the Kerala State Handicapped Persons Welfare Corporation at Kottamam, Thiruvananthapuram, and at the MLA Quarters Extension Counter in Thiruvananthapuram.
