While initially, it was integrated into the solar township plan, which didn't materialize, the centre started producing materials like concrete blocks and stabilized mud blocks. LEDeG marketed these materials to builders, including Government contractors. The centre's technologies were also used in constructing a 100 KW solar powerhouse in Tangtse. Additionally, LEDeG has been involved in various renewable energy projects, such as solar photovoltaic power plants, solar cookers, passive solar housing, and capacity building for renewable energy development. It offers sustainable building consultancy and provides compressed mud bricks and concrete bricks, contributing to the development of eco-friendly construction practices in Ladakh.
