Global Hands for Rural Development operates Titeli - Home for Children (Bal Ashram), formerly known as an orphanage, located in Palampur, Kangra distr Read moreict, H.P. Titeli provides care and protection to children aged 6 to 18 years and is registered with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Directorate of Women and Child Development H.P. under the Juvenile Justice Act 2015 and its rules from 2016, with a sanctioned capacity of up to 30 children. Currently, as the capacity is nearing full, the organization is undertaking efforts to expand the common area to accommodate additional space for classrooms or recreational activities for the children. Assistance is sought for furnishing the floor, constructing walls, installing doors and windows, and setting up classroom furniture and a library equipped with computers and internet access for the children.

While home-cooked food is discouraged, permissible items include cakes, confectionery, fruits, candies, and cookies. However, the organization discourages giving presents or handouts to individual children, suggesting instead to consult the manager and provide gifts to the group to avoid favoritism and undue expectations.
