Human Wave runs integrated community development programs in 4 locations along railway lines, providing locals with safe drinking water, cultural and Read moreeducational support to children, and health and lifestyle training to the mothers along with economic empowerment through self-help groups. It runs 8 tutorials consisting of 800 students for BPL families and 2 schools and sponsors 150 students from families below poverty line. Human Wave promotes immunization, low cost nutrition, eco-toilets, family welfare services, and pre and post maternal care. It also provides medication under DOTs & IEC services to control tuberculosis and runs an outdoor clinic for medical treatment for the poor. It maintains 67 Self Help Groups consisting of 752 mothers, promotes literacy among the women, and helps women develop skills. It also promotes national integration, and practices of international voluntarism and peace. It also takes care of below-poverty line senior citizens Project ANEWSHAN works in the Adarshanagore locality. The Soishob-Anewshan program aims to facilitate cultural development in children by providing Brotochary, drawing & dance classes, early childhood education, and medical care, organizing cultural functions and increasing health awareness. The Baldwi program works with children aged 3 to 5 who have working mothers. Its objective is to teach these children how to socialize, promote good habits and manners, and ensure they are enrolled in school at the right time. Tutorials are held for 78 children from classes 1 to 9, six days a week, and the children's performance is monitored. A professional computer class for the children is also provided. Human Wave also provides basic healthcare such as immunizations and birth control in addition to monitoring the growth of adolescents once in a month. In case of emergency medical need, it also financially supports the locals. Nari-Khamotayan Shakha includes various projects which are aimed at improving the living conditions of the women in Adarshanagore. In order to raise awareness, the women attend monthly meetings regarding social issues. Human Wave helps women become self-sufficient and generate more income, in addition to organizing loans to support women in improving their huts or for urgent family needs. Human Wave supports the Sundarban Primary School in the village of Dekhsinbariabhangabad, in addition to sponsoring students with books & study material. Gopalnagore Tutorial Project is a child development project in the village of Gopalnagore. HUMAN WAVE has started a tutorial class for 60 children in class 1 to 3 and has introduced brotochary training. Human Wave also organizes health promotion activities in the village of Dhapdhapi which aims to provide basic medical treatment to locals who can't afford treatment at hospitals. Health workers visit each family of Dhapdhapi with a special focus on antenatal & postnatal care, immunization and family planning.
