ARPAN, established in 2006 and registered under the Society Registration Act 1860, focuses on addressing the needs of rural communities in the Andaman Read more & Nicobar Islands. The organisation was formed to provide training, capacity building, and enhanced interaction between Non-Governmental Organisations and Government Organisations in these disaster-prone regions. ARPAN collaborates with other entities to showcase how the lives of impoverished rural communities can be improved, primarily through the establishment of Self Help Groups, Vocational Training, and empowering farming communities to revitalize and manage economic activities. With a mission to deliver comprehensive solutions for rural and urban development in India, ARPAN envisions a modernized rural landscape with a strong economy and a just society. Its goal is to drive social, cultural, and economic progress in rural Andaman, thereby fostering a brighter future for these communities.

    The organization is dedicated to promoting the welfare of women and children, offering a range of services including social, psychological, legal, and medical assistance to individuals spanning from children to the elderly. It strives to aid the impoverished by establishing networks with both governmental and non-governmental organizations to provide livelihood support. Additionally, we endeavor to foster unity among different religious and cultural groups while addressing local concerns. The mission extends to combating social issues such as substance abuse, alcoholism, child abuse, and child labor. We collaborate closely with governmental and non-governmental entities to advocate for the interests of children, youth, women, and the elderly. Moreover, we are committed to environmental protection and the prevention of communicable diseases through collaborative efforts with relevant organizations.
