  • Astitva Programme

    The term 'Astitva' translates to 'identity.' It represents an initiative empowering street youth aged 18 and above, particularly those transitioning from 'Gharonda' or the Drop-in-Shelter. This effort aims to foster self-reliance and independence among street children, supporting them until they achieve financial autonomy and lead dignified lives.

  • Drop–in–Centre for Street Children

    Ehsaas established the pioneering Drop-In Center in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, becoming the first registered under the Juvenile Justice Act. Functioning as an open shelter since 2002, it offers essential services like health, nutrition, counselling, and need-based vocational training to children. This centre serves as a safe haven, providing not only basic amenities but also holistic support to empower and guide children, fostering their well-being and future prospects.

  • Child Friendly Railway Station

    The Railway Children Surveillance and Protection Mechanism is a systematic approach ensuring a safe environment for children on railway platforms. It identifies, rescues, and provides support, reaching around 8000 children since 2002. This model is a recognized Best Practice for rehabilitating children in need, contributing to Lucknow's Child-Friendly Railway Station status. Additionally, Ehsaas launched Railway CHILDLINE in July 2015—a 24/7 emergency outreach service connecting children in railway contact to long-term care and rehabilitation services.

  • Safe City for Children Initiative

    The aim is to transform Lucknow into a city where children's rights, especially their Right to Protection, are upheld through robust systems and infrastructure. This involves raising awareness widely and reinforcing existing structures. Sensitizing not only children but also those responsible for their well-being is crucial. Ehsaas has conducted numerous training and awareness initiatives over time, engaging various stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive approach towards safeguarding children's rights.

  • Child Right Resource Centre

    This resource centre is envisioned to serve as a central repository for all information concerning children, with a particular focus on Uttar Pradesh. This hub conducts research and documentation to support policy advocacy based on solid evidence.
