Overview

Works with the mission of achieving sustainable development for individuals belonging to poor, rural, under-privileged & un-reached communities by identifying the most critical problems faced by them on a daily basis and delivering practical, technology-enabled solutions for these problems. Its approach is directed at implementing change within the system by providing the above communities with timely information and access to life-saving products and services.

The products and services on offer aim to provide sustainable solutions to the critical problems arising in the converging fields of healthcare, education, livelihood and climate change. To administer sustainable solutions, it follows the workflow of Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation-Continuation-Scaleup-Institutionalization.

The MIRA Channel (alternatively known as Women Mobile Lifeline Channel) is a mobile phone channel with the aim of improving overall health of women in low-resource areas, enabling them to manage their health independently and reducing maternal and infant mortality rates. It delivers timely information on various health-related issues like pregnancy, dietary information during pregnancy and medical care.

The Freedom TB initiative is a technology-enabled program which aims to improve the treatment of Tuberculosis (TB) by ensuring adherence to treatment and regular monitoring. It has adopted an approach called Active Patient Compliance System which ensures adherence of patients to the course of treatment through Video Observed Therapy (VOT). It enables patients to take control of the treatment through reminder systems, adherence tools, dosage tracking, test scheduling and real-time need-based support by the community.

Your Story Teller is a project which uses a messaging and behaviour change tool to instill healthy habits in individuals belonging to rural communities. It makes use of contextual digital animated stories to promote healthy habits where these stories are made available on mobile phones for widespread circulation.

Includo works for capacity building in organizations on diversity and inclusivity through interactive digital games and role-play exercises. The Freedom HIV/AIDS project uses mobile games to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS. The Connect-2-Climate initiative makes use of Mobile & Information and Communications Technology (ICT) based Games and targets youth and school children to spread awareness about climate change, with special focus on energy efficiency, environment and renewable energy resources.

The Smart Madarsa program aims to include Madarsa education within mainstream education by refining it through use of ICT and Gaming. The Game for Development project aims to enforce behaviour change in key focus areas of Health, WASH, Nutrition, ARSH, Agriculture, Environment and Energy through different tools and interactive games based on the Real-World Risk Reduction Method using Game Mechanics approach.

The Mobile for All initiative campaigns for the Universal Right to Connectivity to ensure mobile connectivity for free delivery of essential services like Primary Healthcare, Health Communication, Disaster information and Basic Literacy.

The Freedom Polio project works in collaboration with CORE Group Polio Project (CGPP) to promote acceptance of the Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV), Supplementary Immunization Activities (S.I.A) and Routine Immunization (RI). The awareness drives are conducted by Community Mobilization Coordinators (CMCs) which are 1300 in number. On-ground execution of the project takes place thorugh its NGO partners namely Population Concern International (PCI), Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) and Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in high-risk districts of Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

Ajeevika Connect forms part of ZMQ’s Universal Self Help Group (SHG) Platform which is a mobile training platform, enabling SHGs to deliver Livelihood & Skills Training, provision Government Schemes like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act (MGNREGA) & Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) and establish m-Business platform for rural and under-privileged entrepreneurs and communities in Rural Haryana. It has formed a partnership with Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission and works with 400 SHGs through 20-30 Cluster Coordinators in the State of Haryana.

ZMQ Development is part of the hybrid entity functioning as a ‘Technology for Development’ social enterprise consisting of ZMQ Technologies which is a consulting company and ZMQ Development. It has won the Mobile for Good Award, 2013 and the Millennium Alliance Award, 2013.
