Ek Kadam Trust works to help children in urban slums, providing education and healthcare. It also distributes medicines to poor children and offers medical treatment to the poor free of cost, by Ek Kadam Trust's medical volunteers. In order to educate the youth about AIDS, Ek Kadam Trust offers AIDS & LifeStyle education in public schools, offering a comprehensive, reality-based approach to prevent HIV. It also distributes literature that raises awareness regarding how HIV is transmitted. In addition, the organization has established various AIDs and HIV support programmes. The organization also distributes blankets and clothes to the poor. Ek Kadam Trust provides free education to poor children, with a focus on educating girls and encouraging girls not to drop out from school by providing any support required to continue their education. Its Operation Clean Zari in Society & Slum Area is a project which focuses on spreading awareness regarding cleanliness measures, and the benefits of maintaining a clean society. In order to empower women, Ek Kadam provides free workshops on skill-building to help women become independent. Ek Kadam Trust encourages people to "Be A part of the Solution Not Part of the Pollution" and protect the environment. It also conducts a 'Joy of Giving Festival to Poor'.
