Prayatna's livelihood development initiatives target underprivileged communities, ensuring improved income and quality of life. The flagship Enterprise Development programme establishes Resource Centres equipped with trainers, machines, and materials to impart new skills or enhance existing ones, enabling beneficiaries to set up their own sustainable enterprises and pursue vocations of interest, addressing the lack of job opportunities effectively.

Prayatna has actively engaged in emergency relief work, supporting people affected by natural disasters and calamities. Their initiatives include distributing medicines, conducting health camps, providing food, water, clothes, and essentials. During the COVID crisis, the organisation extended aid to migrant labourers with cooked food, dry ration, masks, and soaps in various regions, benefiting thousands of families daily. Additionally, it distributed handmade masks and soaps in Bihar, raising awareness about hygiene practices and social distancing to combat the virus's spread.
