Sayodhya Home For Women In Need offers a range of essential services to support women in distress. These services include round-the-clock emergency sh Read moreelter, counselling, and assistance for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). Upon arriving at Sayodhya Home, the focus shifts towards providing a nurturing environment for victims to recover from the traumatic impact of victimization. Through rehabilitation skill training and counselling, the aim is to help these women gain a better understanding of themselves and the dynamics of domestic violence, relationships, financial independence, and workplace requirements. Each client undergoes a counselling session, and the dedicated multi-disciplinary team at Sayodhya Home assists women in determining their future course of action. One of Sayodhya's unique strengths is its community-based approach to combatting GBV and empowering women. By harnessing the potential of women's collectives, known as self-help groups (SHGs), and training women leaders from these organizations as community counsellors, Sayodhya effectively addresses the issue at the grassroots level. These community resource persons (CRPs) play a pivotal role in running counselling centres in slum areas and working towards change within the community. Sayodhya Home's facilities encompass various aspects of care, including accommodation, counselling, legal advice, support for family reintegration, connections to support groups and vocational training, and the availability of a 24-hour helpline and first aid services.

  • Cooks Skill Training Programme

    Sayodhya Home For Women In Need conducts Cooks Skill Training for women who have experienced domestic violence. After training, it assists these women in finding placements or support for their settlement.     To combat hygiene and health concerns, particularly anaemia among school-age girls, Sayodhya Home For Women In Need is working in collaboration with government schools. The organisation is facilitating the establishment of reusable sanitary pad-making units within these schools, ensuring a year-round supply of sanitary napkins. This initiative aims to enhance menstrual hygiene and overall well-being, addressing a critical need for young girls in the community.

    Sayodhya Home For Women In Need operates My Abhyasa Centres (MACs), which are evening tutoring centres.
