SETU conducts development programs and projects to address issues such as youth employment, gender disparity and transferable blood units shortage in Read moreIndia. The organisation specifically focuses on education and skill development of youth with a special focus on women. Further, it also ensures overall development of the youth by organisation various health based projects and ensures proper rehabilitation of specific cases in need of assistance. The projects undertaken by the organisation include 'Samaan' which imparts skills to people with special needs such as hearing impaired, intellectually impaired, physically challenged in basic IT, tailoring and hospitality. The second initiative is Jagriti project which provides tailoring skills to women and ensures their employment in the garment industry so as to make them self-sufficient and create livelihood for themselves. The third initiative is Pragiti project which has been setup under the Direct Aid Program of the Australian High Commission in India. It ensures women empowerment through basic computer skills, healthcare skills and tailoring skills to encourage employment. The fourth initiative is Saksham project which has been setup as CSR initiative of Fidelity International and Metlife. The program imparts training to women in basic computer skills, tailoring, healthcare, beauty and wellness. The fifth initiative is Uday project under which SETU Shiksha Jyoti Education Kendra has been established. It provides education to children belonging to marginalised communities. The strength of the school is 402 children (274 girls) and is well equipped with smart and digital education facilities. The school provides free education, uniform, books, stationery and mid meals for all children. The sixth initiative is the SETU Women Empowerment and Employability Program (SWEEP) which provides vocational training along with English communication, personality development and grooming. Further, it also imparts technical training in healthcare, retail, tailoring, information and communication. The seventh initiative is The PINK and RED Club which aims to spread awareness on Cancer and AIDS. The club also actively raises funds for the treatment of Cancer and AIDS patients. Further, over 20,000 corporate employees have been covered under the awareness programs at various workshops. Also, under this project SETU actively conducts general health camps, eye care camps, voluntary blood donation camps and dental camps across Delhi and NCR area. The highlight of this project are the blood donation camps have yielded around 5000 units of blood across corporate sector. The eighth initiative is the SETU Shiksha Jyoti Scholarship Scheme which is a lifetime scholarship provided to children. Presently 30 children are being covered under this scheme.
