Overview

i-Saksham aims to bring education, digital literacy and vocational skills to the backward areas of the country.

The organization identifies motivated rural youth and trains them on various vocational trades thereby enabling them to become entrepreneurs. It also guides them to impart basic education to children in the rural areas. These youth are named as 'Saksham-Mitras’.

It aims to train 50,000 youths to be community tutors and 5 lakh youth to be skilled in various vocational trades. These youth are trained to provide education to 5 million poor school children. This program aids the youth to become self-sufficient as well as contribute towards the development of their society and community.

i-Saksham has a network of volunteers who help the team by creating learning material, by mentoring the youth and by making field visits to the villages.

The organization has its headquarters in New Delhi. It currently operates in the Jamui and Munger districts of Bihar.
