The Circular Economy Club (CEC) is an international network of over 2,600 circular-economy professionals and organizations from over 60 countries. Its Read more goal is to connect these professionals in order to generate opportunities for collaboration and to provide them with tools and resources to help establish a circular economic system. A circular economic system is a system in which products and services are traded in closed loops so that input and waste is minimized. Such a system promotes recycling, refurbishing, repairing, and reusing. CEC strives to shift the global economy from a linear model where resources are obtained, produced, and then thrown, to an economy that follows a circular model. The aim of CEC is to bridge the gap between the vast number of initiatives that aim to generate a circular economy, and the lack of visibility, tools, funding, and connections to generate a large enough impact. CEC is managed by 22 global volunteers. Its CEC Mentors provide free advice to newest members, and CEC Organizers are responsible for organizing CEC activities in their cities, universities, and organizations. CEC global events give its members the opportunity to meet and work together to solve local and global challenges facing the transition to a global circular economy.
