B Corps are for-profit companies that work to solve social and environmental issues. Caspian is the first Indian Impact Investing firm to be granted a B Corp certification.​ The Bellwether Fund was created in 2005 to provide equity and debt to early stage micro-finance institutions. It incubated startups in geographically diverse and remote locations. By collaborating with other investors, banks, rating agencies, technical assistance providers, and the government, it developed a ecosystem to support such micro-finance institutions. The India Financial Inclusion Fund, 2008, provided growth capital to the previous fund's investees in order to scale the financial inclusion companies providing options in affordable housing and last mile banking. The Fund made 12 equity investments, including 2 enterprises who are now market leaders in affordable housing. Caspian Impact Investments, 2013, is a domestic operating company regulated by the Reserve Bank of India which provides debt to enterprises which work to create social and/or environmental impact. It assists fast-growing early-stage impact enterprises. The ​Caspian SME Impact Fund, 2016-17, is a fund that has expanded into more sectors, with plans to invest primarily in the equity of innovative SMEs engaged in Food & Agriculture, Clean Energy, and Financial Services that focus on providing high quality essentials at competitive prices to under-served customers, financial services to under-served micro-enterprises or households, and increased opportunities to producers dependent on non-remunerative markets.

  • Assam Agribusiness Investment Fund (AAIF)

    The Assam Agribusiness Investment Fund (AAIF) is established with a fund size of INR 250 crore, with a mission to enhance the rural ecosystem, stimulate agricultural productivity, and boost employment opportunities in the state through strategic capital investments in small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
    In alignment with this objective, Caspian Impact Investment Adviser Pvt. Ltd. (Caspian Equity) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Assam Rural Infrastructure and Agricultural Services (ARIAS) Society, an autonomous body operating under the Government of Assam. This collaborative partnership designates ARIAS as the primary investor in AAIF, while Caspian Equity assumes the role of fund manager. Backed by initial funding from the World Bank through Assam Rural Infrastructure and Agricultural Services (ARIAS) Society, AAIF will function as a Category II Alternative Investment Fund officially registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

    This certification, conferred by B Lab, serves as an endorsement of Caspian's unwavering commitment to rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Throughout the certification process, its practices and impact on its employees, community, environment, and customers were meticulously assessed.

  • Caspian Debt

    Caspian Debt extends expedited financial solutions to businesses, including term loans of up to 1 crore, to be repaid over a span of 6 to 24 months through equated monthly installments or customizable repayment schedules. It also offers amortizing term loans, which provide the flexibility to pay back over 12 to 36 monthly equated or customized installments. The revolving limit option allows you to drawdown funds as per your specific requirements, with interest payable solely on the drawn-down amount for the duration of its utilization.
    It specializes in tailoring bespoke debt financing to empower you in your mission to create a better world. It collaborates with clients whose borrowing needs exceed INR 50 lakhs and exhibit one or more of the following attributes:
    1. Professionally managed small or mid-market companies led by first-generation entrepreneurs.
    2. Asset-light businesses that do not possess mortgage-backed assets.

  • LEAF (Leap for Agriculture Fund)

    LEAF is committed to achieving a positive social and environmental impact through its investments, concurrently striving for an appealing financial return. This mission is underpinned by a dedicated emphasis on fostering close collaboration with portfolio companies, offering them vital support.
    Caspian LEAF's core focus revolves around delivering high-impact solutions that are in close proximity to farmers, ultimately benefiting small and marginal farmers. Within this fund's scope, it explores areas such as enhancing input efficiency, alleviating agricultural labour burdens, introducing labour-saving farming machinery, promoting nearby processing solutions, and facilitating traceability measures.
