Prayas Corps works towards inculcating value-based education amongst underprivileged children. Through the 'Shiksha Mission' the focus is to provide e Read moreducation and overall development to the children during evening classes at schools. Apart from the mainstream education system, children are educated about new technologies and skills to cope up with the competitive world. Further, the core programme 'Roshni Ki Kiran' understands the gravity of the situation related to people living in Kachchi basti and helps by providing with rechargeable solar LED lights. In doing so the aim is to create awareness regarding the use of renewable energy and its affordability. Additionally, through the programmes the organisation works towards spreading awareness about 'Leprosy' and strives to eradicate the social stigma attached to the condition. Further, It actively takes initiative towards donating clothes to the marginalised section of society.

Programs

  • No Polythene Campaign

    The No Polythene Campaign initiated by Prayaas Corps aims to combat the harmful effects of synthetic polythene on the environment. It conducts multiple campaigns throughout the year in various colleges and universities in Jaipur to raise awareness and encourage students and administrations to say no to plastic bags. The organisation advocates for using newspaper and cloth bags as alternatives. Due to its efforts, many colleges in Rajasthan have been declared plastic-free zones. Prayaas Corps invites volunteers to join these campaigns and become part of the positive change it seeks to bring about.

  • Raahat Mission Programme

    Prayaas Corps conducts the Raahat Mission, aiming to provide warmth to those in need during the winter season. It sets up drop boxes at schools and colleges across the city, where teachers and students can contribute by donating washed woollens and blankets for the Annual cloth donation drive called RAAHAT~A Gift Of Warmth. Once the boxes are filled, the team collects the donations with proper communication. This initiative not only helps those in need but also instils a practical moral lesson of sharing in students and youth, promoting the value of small good deeds that can bring about positive change. It believes that more hands involved mean faster and more effective help for the community.

  • Library Mission Programme

    The Library Mission by Prayaas Corps emphasizes the power of knowledge and the gift of books. Volunteers collect books from various sources and establish libraries, empowering underprivileged children with the tools to achieve their dreams. The mission focuses on encouraging and motivating these children to make the most of the available resources, fostering a belief that they are not alone in their journey, as people with similar beliefs stand by their side. Despite potential hurdles in bringing about societal change, the organisation advocates for resilience and determination in facing challenges.

  • Shiksha Mission Programme

  • Vraksh - Plantation Drive Programme

    Prayaas Corps organises the Vraksh - Plantation Drive, understanding the crucial importance of trees for our planet. Instead of merely spreading awareness, it takes action. Every monsoon season, the team comes together near their main office in Jaipur to conduct the drive. Volunteers contribute by donating saplings on their birthdays, which are then planted during the event. Recognizing that planting alone is not enough, the organisation ensures regular visits to maintain and care for the planted trees. Prayaas Corps invites people to join them in this environmental responsibility, emphasizing that all have a part to play in creating a greener and better future.
