Orkids Foundation

Orkids works with specially-abled children with academic, socio-emotional, and behavioural challenges. It runs multidisciplinary clinics, offering the Read morerapy, training, assessments, and different aspects of remedial intervention such as special education, occupational therapy/sensory integration therapy and speech and language inputs. Through its Orkids Within Schools program, Orkids' special educators cater to children with special educational needs within school set ups. Orkids also consults schools in the field of special education needs and offers training. Orkids on Wheels is an initiative wherein a special educator travels in a van to various schools, providing special education, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring for free to children from underprivileged backgrounds. Orkids also provides free assessments to children form marginalized communities. Orkids offers regular and online courses, workshops, and talks for aspiring special educators, teachers and parents. It also conducts assessment and psycho-diagnostic camps in schools across cities in India and neighboring countries. Assessment camp is a unique program through which Orkids’ assessment team travels to schools in areas outside the city where credible assessment services for children suffering from learning disabilities and associated disorders are lacking. Orkids' o-PEN is a network for parents of children with special needs. Through this initiative, Orkids works to empower parents and teach them about learning disorders through workshops, talks, and interactive sessions.
