Jan Kalyan Samajik Sansthan (JKSS), registered under the MP Society Registration Act in 1999, focuses on social development and the welfare of the com Read moremon people. Originally formed by college students in 1998 as the Youth Chetana Club, it later adopted the name Jan Kalyan Samajik Sansthan upon registration. Emphasizing people's participation in sustainable development, JKSS views individuals as agents of change at the grassroots level. Initially centred on youth development, the organisation expanded its scope to encompass areas such as plantation, sanitation, elementary education, health, skill and leadership programmes for youth and women, as well as initiatives related to NRLM, HIV/AIDS, TB/RNTCP, Gram Sabha Empowerment, Agriculture, and countering social issues. Currently active in districts of Chhattisgarh including Rajnandgaon, Durg, Raipur, and Kawardha, JKSS collaborates with Government bodies, national and international partners, CSOs, universities, and professionals to implement community-based interventions. The dedicated management committee and staff are committed to empowering marginalized individuals, including women from minority communities and disadvantaged segments. JKSS envisions a self-reliant, exploitation-free, and equitable society. Its mission revolves around assisting and supporting exploited and marginalized sections of society in realizing their self-respect.

Programs

  • Humanitarian Activities

    Through its humanitarian programme, the organization Jan Kalyan Samajik Sansthan (JKSS) addresses various vital aspects. Its efforts include Reproductive Child Health (RCH II), targeted interventions for female sex workers and MSM, vocational training for women's empowerment, an Agriculture Club, an Information Centre, research and study initiatives, campaigns for Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) at the district level, capacity-building training for Panchayat members to enhance local self-governance (PRI), health care and awareness programmes, as well as campaigns about the Right to Information (RTI) Act.
