SZW consults organizations on circular economy, resource recovery, waste handling, and minimizing waste. Through waste audits it assesses waste stream Read mores generated at a location, based on which it recommends infrastructure and operational changes. The Smart Waste Program provides professional and comprehensive solutions to bulk waste generators such as large organizations, helping them achieve zero waste status. It introduces waste segregation, awareness and training, collection and processing of waste, and retrieval for all waste. It also operates onsite model waste management units, including converting wet waste to fuel and dry waste to recycle on organization premises. The Kasa Rasa Model is an offsite model of waste management for smaller waste generators in which waste is collected and transported to a hub nearby, after which wet waste is converted to compost and dry waste is prepared for recycling. The Exchange Program enables a circular economy in which waste is exchanged with recycled stationery products. SZW offers products made from waste including compost and a range of recycled products. SZW also offers professional bulk paper shredding services for corporates so that no paper waste is reused in informal scenarios. The shredded paper is recycled through a network of certified recyclers ensuring Carbon footprint savings and resource recovery. SZW includes construction & demolition waste as part of the holistic waste management services offered, and has partnered with authorized vendors and certified recyclers for handling different streams of waste generated at a construction project. It raises awareness on how to successfully manage waste and minimize impact on the environment to a wide audience, including everyone from builders to senior management to school kids. Each year, India contributes a significant 8.5% share of the world's textile waste, equivalent to a staggering 7793 kilo tons, with post-consumer waste making up 51% of this quantity. Unfortunately, the recycling rate for this textile waste remains dismally low, at less than 1%. SZW is working to establish a sustainable and well-structured value chain for the recovery of both pre- and post-consumer textile waste.
SZW’s Textile Recovery Facility (TRF) represents one of the pioneering initiatives in the country, specifically designed to maximize the recovery of textile materials from post-consumer waste. The facility has advanced systems and infrastructure for segregating and sorting textile waste, enabling reuse, repair, upcycling, and recycling of incoming textile waste. It has established a dedicated supply chain that encompasses collection and processing, utilizing both manual and technological methods, to deliver the processed textile waste to its intended destinations.

  • Electronic waste

While technology has undoubtedly enhanced our lives, electronic devices have finite lifespans, either due to consumers' preference for newer models or manufacturers' planned obsolescence strategies. It is imperative for consumers to ensure that their e-waste disposal follows responsible and scientifically sound practices through authorized channels.
SZW is dedicated to the scientific and sustainable disposal of electronic waste. In compliance with the E-Waste Management Rules of 2016, SZW holds authorization as a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO).
